@Dimitrios: The column is an old water depth measurement - I think the old numbers measure fathoms, units of 6 feet; I have used pp to make the centre of the photos normal, and outside the circle in sepia. The column itself is part of the sculpture exhibition - it too is an ART piece. Compris?
I like how you did this!! Really interesting image Sidonie! So are the "blank" parts of the sculpture mirrors? Is that why they show, as in the lower left tile, people? or as in the upper tiles, the ocean?

@amy: Yes, those are mirror tiles - which I failed to notice until I started the pp - from memory I think I just used Picasa effects for the blob in the middle, widened to the max.
