Verbeeck organ #2Posted by Sidonie (Sydney, Australia) on 14 October 2007 in Art & Design and Portfolio. The 73 key Verbeeck Concert Street Organ, built in 1992 from the original 1884 design in Belgium. It is powered by a generator and pumps out a fantastic sound that can be heard a long way away. It was playing The Teddy Bear's Picnic when I took this photo. Around the back, the "music" is played from pieces of cardboard punctured with holes, like a pianola. At the Floriade festival, Canberra, October 2007
