Verso of Chinese vase 1880s

Passed down from my great grand-mother to me, this hand-carved soapstone vase depicting a mountain path climbing through willows to the pagoda on the summit, is one of my most treasured possessions. It arrived in Australia during the boom times of the China trade 1880s.
