Introduction in the hotshopPosted by Sidonie (Sydney, Australia) on 1 June 2007 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. On the tour of the Glassworks, the public first enters the boiler room of the old Powerhouse which once generated electricity for Canberra from the nearby Molonglo River (now Lake Burley Griffin.) The restoration of the Powerhouse for the Glassworks has retained many of the original architectural features and equipment, including the coal hoppers hanging from the ceiling. From the series At the Glassworks.
