The new Canberra Glassworks opened this month in the restored Powerhouse at Kingston, ACT.
This is the first in a series taken on a tour which included a demonstration of glass making.
Shot through a glass barrier which separated spectators from the action.

@kairospix: It's aluminium foil on the table Ithink. Thanks K!

@Nick Passantino: They were hot, and they wear dark glasses too. Thanks Nick!
nice look - looks like a desaturated photo with a touch of bright color

@vasa: Yeah, an effect I was hoping for but wouldn't be able to easily make in pp. Thanks Vasa for the visit.
Cool shot Helen!! or should I say hot LOL Really like how this one looks slightly desaturated. And it's not easy taking a shot through plate glass!! ;-)

@Amy: De nada! Ce n'est rien! No worries. Thanks Amy. Love your dandelion BTW!
Nice and clear even though it was taken through a glass barrier. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

@Bob: It's a lesson learnt too -shooting through glass - hope you find something else of interest in the series. Thanks Bob.
Yup, I agree with Bob...great capture from behind a glass barrier! Nice!

@{H} creatives: Thanks {H}!

Merci Henri.
Amazing colour of the molten glass. I agree with all of the above comments. Great shot. [An aside: Did you play around with cropping? With the stunning light on the bench and the colour of the spoon it would be interesting to play around with an abstract.]

@Helen: Thanks Helen - no cropping or pp of any kind. I took a series in fast succession from this angle - they all look similar, although the "bulb" was at various sizes, - and some are lighter, or the "bulb" is smaller - I've put the series on Flickr and in a slideshow generated with JAlbum.
You've done a very interesting series!
