The sun at 1700 hours

"Do you want me stand in front to block the sun?" a passer-by asked me.

That's a conventional reaction, almost a rule, and I like to break the rules.

It was 1700 hours (5 pm, Saturday, in early Autumn) down by the lake.

Not a breath of wind stirred the flags of many nations at left. Couples walked by. Cyclists whizzed past me.

The big top of Cirque de Soleil's "Grand Chapiteau" glistened. Nearby their generators roared as the matinee proceeded, the music blaring across the lake.

The bicycles for rent were ready to be packed and trucked off.

Black Mountain's Telstra Tower was clearly visible way back there at the end of the lake.

Every Saturday about 5.00pm the bridal parties arrive in their vintage cars. As this one cruised by, I just had to point and shoot.
