Site preparations for the Canberra season of Cirque de Soleil's "Varekai" continue. By March 7th, the big top skin was up.
These hard hats (the one center wears his over a soft hat) were taken aback to discover me at the wire fence taking photos, but they were most congenial, and the Canadian (with can in hand) was especially charming!

wish Id seen this show myself when it hit Japan last year. Great candid take of the workers behind the scenes, who make it all happen.

@Dimitrios: There were women on site in hard hats too, carrying heavy crates etc ... I WOULD help, if they promised me FREE tickets!
I would like to see their exhibition...
