Hail and thunderstorms across Canberra in the past week wreaked havoc with Lake Burley Griffin. Normally, there is a deep channel running under the centre of the bridge, but now the build-up of mud and silt is such that the wooden beam is virtually sitting on top of it. The white specks could be plastic bags (not on my lens, I hope!)

@Jerry: Great compliment Jerry - I like the doco genre, I must admit! BTW, I saw a program a few nights ago on TV about lightening- Tampa, according to the BBC is the lightening capital of the USA. Have you got any pics?
From one extreme to another Sidonie - this weather is weird huh? They say here that the next three months are going to be dry, so we'll end up with our droughts about May... I do love the documentary aspects of this shot, well composed and makes a point.
