Dancing in the rain

Rain! For all of 20 minutes. Such a rare event, this child enjoyed a soaking. And yes, that IS a streak of water on her cheek!

idea and framing are perfect, if only if the light was better

@Dimitrios: Yes, I spent some time on this - cropping, enlarging, bringing up the whiteness of rain etc etc. The result was not perfect, but better than the original which showed a lot of carpark and markets, and was rather dark etc - not very interesting as a whole.

@Duncan Galbraith: Astute observation, Duncan. The framing was critical - cropped, enlarged, high contrasts etc - it took more time in pp than any other pic of mine to date.

And when you have a drought as you have had, how much more precious is every drop. So glad you could catch her enjoying it (in her crocs!).
I think the lighting is great - I'll bet the sun was still beating on down!!

@Bronnie: No past tense with this drought - it's still with us, a permanent effect of global warming. This downpour was a unique event, albeit very brief, a moment to rejoice!
