This flag, bearing the Aboriginal colours (black, red and yellow), was set up yesterday at the "Aboriginal Embassy" opposite Old Parliament House, Canberra, for the annual Australia Day holiday (January 26th) which commemorates the beginning of British occupation of Australia in January 1788 - a day lamented rather than celebrated in Aboriginal Australia.

Heh, yep, The Brits were not all that popular here in the 13 Colonies either. On the other hand, it is amazing that tiny country had such a tremendous impact on the world as a whole. English is the universal language. Astounding.
