looks like a nice stretch - the forest is very clean cut in sections - wonder why?

@Jason Kravitz: Hi Jason: It's an old pine plantation, methodically replanted and harvested year after year. The original old growth forest along that stretch would have been cleared completely by the mid 1800s. It's the clearing of old growth forests purely for woodchipping exports in the great wilderness regions of Tasmania that is really scandalous. The Western Coast forests, the Tarkine, etc. I'm sure you're aware of this tragedy, judging by your comment.
